I had a dandelion apocalypse this year! What happened? My neighbor mows her dandelion puffballs and discharges them into the street, which then blow into my yard. Then a drought caused large sections of my grass to die and dandelions took over. In the past, I've only had a few dandelions, which I removed using a short 12" dandelion weeder tool. However, I noticed that tool usually does not get the tap root. I needed a better solution. After some research (including many recommendations on Reddit), I decided to order Grampa's Metal Weeder. This excellent tool really does grab the tap root with very little effort, especially if used after a rain when the soil is damp. I would prefer if the tool had a one-piece handle, rather than 3 sections that screw together, because sometimes I have to retighten the joints. This tool is best used to remove dandelions from flowerbeds where you do not want to spray or when you have only a few dandelions. Although my dandelion apocalypse was so severe that I was also forced to spray, I believe in a normal year, Grampa's Metal Weeder alone will be enough. Thanks for making this tool.

Easy as advertised
Worked as advertised. No smoke or mirrors used. Weeds came out with no real effort. The tool has a good weight to it so it should hold up if the weeds put up a fight, but so far we're winning!
